Our Animals

As Blackwater is home to a range of farm animals, they can be the backdrop to your wedding or an intimate part of your day. Alfie the donkey will happily deliver your rings to the registrar or the sheep can graze alongside your guest as they sit and chat around the Fire pit.

We think our animals are beautiful as they are and we don’t feel the need to dress them up for weddings except perhaps with a garland of natural flowers, we hope you feel the same.

Spot and Dot the twin sheep are happy to be cuddled for photos and when adorned with your favourite flowers and foliage they look simply gorgeous. We also have a handsome Shire horse and free range ducks and chickens on view in fields around the venue.

We will be on hand to help the photographer stage your perfect photos.
